Your agreement with us
These terms govern your use of OslerMarket and its courses, Osler Files, Osler AI, CME information, jobs, equipment listings, resources, discussions, Osler Points, Osler Rounds, sponsorships, and related services.
By creating an account, selecting an acceptance box, paying for a service, or continuing to use the platform, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter this agreement. Clinical and professional tools are intended for healthcare workers, trainees, educators, organisations, and other appropriately qualified users.
- Give accurate, current information and keep it updated.
- Keep your password and devices secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Use one account for yourself and do not sell, transfer, or share access.
- Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
- Do not misrepresent qualifications, identity, licence status, institution, or eligibility.
We may verify professional information, but a verification badge is limited to the checks we performed and is not a guarantee of competence, employment status, conduct, or continuing registration.

Medical education and Osler AI
OslerMarket supports education and clinical reasoning. It does not replace professional judgement, local protocols, supervision, or emergency care.
- Content and AI output may be incomplete, outdated, or wrong.
- Always verify diagnoses, doses, contraindications, references, and management against current authoritative guidance and the patient's circumstances.
- Do not delay urgent assessment, referral, or emergency treatment because of anything on OslerMarket.
- Do not use AI output as the sole basis for a clinical, employment, licensing, payment, or disciplinary decision.
You must de-identify clinical material before submission. Do not upload a patient's name, contacts, record number, recognisable face, or other identifying detail. You remain responsible for confidentiality, consent, lawful disclosure, and your professional duties.

Content and community rules
You may post comments, clinical pearls, profile material, images, listings, or other content where a feature permits it. You keep ownership of your original content, but give Osler Market a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, format, moderate, display, and distribute it as needed to operate and promote the service.
You must not submit content that:
- breaches patient confidentiality, privacy, copyright, professional rules, or another person's rights;
- is false, deceptive, defamatory, discriminatory, abusive, dangerous, or unlawfully promotes a product or service;
- contains malware, credential theft, spam, hidden advertising, or unauthorised personal data;
- presents AI-generated material as verified clinical fact without appropriate review.
We may review, edit for format, reject, unpublish, or remove content and may preserve evidence of abuse. Moderation does not make us the author of user content or guarantee that every item has been reviewed.

Jobs, equipment, CME, and external services
Marketplace and event pages help people discover opportunities. Unless a page clearly says otherwise, Osler Market is not the employer, seller, buyer, organiser, accreditor, clinician, or agent for the parties.
- Check qualifications, licences, equipment condition, ownership, pricing, accreditation, dates, and counterparties yourself.
- Inspect equipment and use appropriate written agreements before paying or handing over goods.
- External links, meeting platforms, application processes, and third-party offers are governed by their own terms.
- A listing, verification mark, or featured placement is not a warranty or endorsement.
Direct marketplace transactions are settled between the parties unless the feature expressly states that Osler Market is collecting a specific fee or payment.

Osler Rounds, entry fees, and prizes
Each Round page sets its dates, entry amount, capacity, scoring, replay rules, verification requirements, prize eligibility, and prize structure. Those published rules form part of these terms.
- Paid entries and sponsorships use mobile money. The confirmation screen shows the amount requested, including any provider charge added to the stated net entry amount.
- An entry is confirmed only after the payment provider reports success. Never share a mobile money PIN with Osler Market staff.
- Unless the Round says otherwise, access and prize eligibility belong to the account and attempt that completed payment.
- Late, incomplete, duplicate, manipulated, automated, collusive, or fraudulent entries may be rejected.
- Scores are based on the configured answers and timing rules. We may correct a clear technical or scoring error.
- Prize eligibility may require verified professional details. Learning-only participation does not create a right to a prize.
- Mobile money or payout provider charges may reduce the amount received where this is disclosed for the prize or payout method.
Refunds
Failed or cancelled payment requests do not create a paid entry. A completed entry fee is generally non-refundable once the attempt or paid access has started, except where required by law or where we confirm a duplicate charge or platform failure that prevented access. Report a payment problem within 7 days with the phone number, reference, amount, and date. Approved refunds are returned through a reasonable available method and may take time to clear through third parties.

Osler Points and levels
Osler Points, streaks, levels, and leaderboard positions are platform features. They are not money, property, academic credit, a professional licence, or a promise of a prize. They cannot be converted to cash, withdrawn, sold, or transferred. Eligible Rounds may allow Points to be used for entry or other stated platform benefits. We may correct points errors, reverse points linked to abuse, and adjust the programme prospectively with reasonable notice.

Osler Earnings and withdrawals
Osler Earnings are funded UGX obligations arising from an approved prize, participant refund, professional contribution, sponsored bounty, or verified paid referral. They are separate from Osler Points, bought Credits, and Lifetime XP.
- Earnings may be pending, available, reserved for a withdrawal, or paid. They are not user deposits and cannot be transferred to another user.
- Availability may depend on settled sponsor or Round funds, results or work approval, identity checks, fraud review, and reconciliation.
- The standard minimum withdrawal is UGX 20,000. Requests from UGX 5,000 may be reviewed as exceptions and require a reason.
- Before confirmation, we show the gross amount, provider fee, and expected mobile-money receipt. Reward recipients normally bear the disclosed fee; approved experts and organisers receive the full professional amount while Osler bears the fee.
- A complete profile, verified own-name payout phone, phone-change cooling period, and enhanced identity review may be required. Enhanced review is required before successful withdrawals exceed the applicable threshold.
- Earnings do not expire, but we may freeze a balance or withdrawal while investigating errors, duplicate accounts, abuse, legal requirements, or provider failures.

Prohibited use
You must not:
- break the law, professional duties, or another person's rights;
- scrape, copy, resell, frame, or systematically extract the service or its content without permission;
- probe security, bypass access controls, interfere with service operation, or introduce harmful code;
- use bots, multiple accounts, answer sharing, payment manipulation, or other methods to distort Rounds, points, votes, views, or rankings;
- reverse engineer the service except where applicable law does not allow that restriction;
- use the service to train a competing model or product without written permission.

Our materials and permissions
Osler Market's software, design, branding, course structure, original text, graphics, databases, and compiled materials are owned by us or licensed to us. Subject to these terms, we give you a limited, revocable, personal, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose.
Citations, guidelines, third-party images, job notices, event material, and linked resources remain subject to their owners' rights. Contact us if you believe material infringes your rights.

Availability, changes, and account action
We may add, change, pause, or retire features, providers, prices, or content. We aim for a reliable service but do not promise uninterrupted availability, permanent storage, or that every error will be corrected immediately.
We may restrict, suspend, or close an account where reasonably necessary for security, non-payment, legal compliance, repeated misinformation, confidentiality breaches, fraud, abuse, or violation of these terms. Where appropriate, we will give notice and an opportunity to contact us.

Disclaimers and responsibility
To the fullest extent allowed by law, the service is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee clinical outcomes, employment, accreditation, equipment quality, marketplace performance, AI accuracy, winnings, or the conduct of third parties.
Osler Market is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, lost opportunity, lost data, professional action, or third-party conduct arising from use of the service where the law permits that exclusion. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or deliberate misconduct.
You are responsible for losses and reasonable costs caused by your unlawful use, breach of confidentiality, infringement, fraud, or material violation of these terms.

Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Uganda, including applicable electronic transactions, data protection, and consumer rules. First contact us with a clear description of the issue so we can try to resolve it promptly.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it may be brought before a court of competent jurisdiction in Uganda, without limiting any right you have to approach a regulator or other lawful forum.

Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the service or law changes. The new effective date will appear above. For a material change, we will provide reasonable notice through the service, account notice, or email. Continued use after the change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
